Chiropractic Adjustments
A chiropractic adjustment is specific to a particular
joint, and is delivered at a specific angle, with specific force and depth,
using a specific method to have a specific result.
The two most common methods that Dr. Porter uses
in the office are:
The diversified method: This is the classic
hands on style of adjustment. It is typically associated with the popping
sound made with the movement of the joints or vertebra.
The activator method: This method utilizes a
specialized instrument
(seen
here), to manipulate the joints movement. With this method the popping
sound is generally not heard.
Chiropractic adjustments help to restore the bodies
natural balance allowing it to restore good health and functionality. Doing
so allows wellness and relief from things such as:
- Headaches
- Neck Pain
- Low Back Pain
- Shoulder Pain
- Pain/numbness or tingling down your arms or legs
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Sore/tender muscles and joints
- Decreased motion in your neck, back or hips
- Lowered resistance to disease (asthma, allergies, colds,
flu, etc.)
